![]() ![]() Every DAW I've ever used "lacks" some important feature that need at one time or another. In the meantime, for purposes such as your need (and methods of production that I sometimes incorporate into projects) I use Reaper and then import the tracks back into SONAR for mixing and further tracking needs. Hopefully we'll see it come to fruition sometime soon. Many of us have requested a "dedicated" vari-speed (like tape machines) control be implemented into SONAR. The dialog window that opens will allow you to determine the percentage of Time and Pitch you wish to change your track(s) by. You'll find "Time/Pitch 2" under "Process"->"Audio FX"->"Cakewalk". (I would clone/copy the originals or "save as." the project with a different name so you'll always have the originals to go back to if you wish to do so). Unfortunately, there isn't an " easy" way to do it in SONAR You'll need to use "destructive" processing on the audio track(s). Like I turn the tape speed down on the audio file, and the pitch and tempo drops. I need a slow motion effect for a theatre composition.
